Audience with the Regent of Wonogiri Discusses Humanitarian and Empowerment Programs

Wonogiri, 14 August 2025 – Human Initiative conducted a courtesy visit and audience with the Regent of Wonogiri, Mr. Setyo Sukarno, on Thursday (14/8). The meeting marked an initial step to strengthen synergy between humanitarian organizations and local government in advancing programs that benefit the community.

In a warm discussion held at the Pendopo of Wonogiri Regency, Human Initiative presented several programs that have been implemented or are ongoing in Central Java. One program that drew attention was the Clean Water Facilities initiative, which aims to improve community access to safe drinking water. In addition, Human Initiative opened opportunities for collaboration in health, education, and the development of social infrastructure.

Ferdiansyah, Head of the Human Initiative Central Java Branch, stated that the audience reflects Human Initiative’s commitment to delivering programs that are relevant to community needs. “Human Initiative wants to ensure that every step we take truly responds to the needs of the people. With the support of the local government, we believe programs in Wonogiri can have a broader and more sustainable impact,” he said.

The Regent of Wonogiri, Setyo Sukarno, expressed appreciation for the initiatives brought forward by Human Initiative. According to him, cross-sector collaboration is essential, especially in addressing regional challenges related to access to basic services and improving community welfare. “We welcome this cooperation. Hopefully, this can be the beginning of a long-term synergy so that the people of Wonogiri become more independent, empowered, and prosperous,” he said.

This visit was not merely ceremonial but also an important momentum to open the door for long-term partnerships. Human Initiative hopes to bring more programs that directly address the real needs of the Wonogiri community, ranging from the provision of clean water and health services to local economic empowerment.

Through this strengthened relationship, Human Initiative and the Government of Wonogiri Regency are optimistic that close collaboration will bring real and sustainable benefits to the community, while also serving as a model of good practice in cooperation between humanitarian organizations and local government.
