Bag of Happiness: Strengthening Children’s Confidence to Return to School

Every child comes to school with the hope of learning and pursuing their dreams. They want to understand lessons, meet friends, and grow in a supportive environment. However, in several regions, orphans, children from underprivileged families, and disaster affected children still face limitations in basic school supplies. As a result, their confidence often declines when they participate in learning activities.

In response to this situation, Human Initiative developed the Bag of Happiness School Supplies Package as a practical step to strengthen access to education. Through this program, the team distributes essential school supplies so children can learn with greater focus and comfort.

Each package is prepared based on the needs of the beneficiaries. For underprivileged families, the package includes school bags, school shoes, and stationery such as pens, pencils, and erasers. For children affected by disasters, the team provides school bags and shoes so they can quickly return to their learning routines. This approach ensures that the assistance remains relevant and useful.

Adequate school supplies help children walk into school with stronger confidence. Children can participate more actively in class and build healthy relationships with their peers. At the same time, parents can focus on supporting their children’s learning process without additional concerns about basic school needs.

Solidarity makes every journey more meaningful. When individuals, communities, and partners move forward together, distances feel shorter and challenges can be faced collectively. Collaboration therefore creates opportunities to expand the impact of kindness and reach more children.

Bag of Happiness strengthens Human Initiative’s commitment to safeguarding children’s access to education across Indonesia. Expand the impact of kindness through collaboration at solusipeduli.org and help empower children to continue learning with dignity.
