Emergency Response Program for East Java Earthquake: Food Packages for Survivors on Bawean Island

Gresik, East Java – PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Jawa Tengah 2 Adipala has collaborated with Human Initiative to alleviate the burden of earthquake survivors in East Java, particularly on Bawean Island. Food packages were distributed to 45 affected residents in Lebak Village, Sangkapura District, Gresik.

The aid distribution activity took place at the Lebak Village Hall on April 4, 2024, at 09:00 WIB. The event was attended by representatives from PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Jawa Tengah 2 Adipala, Human Initiative East Java, the Head of Lebak Village, and the beneficiaries.

Fadal, SH, Head of Lebak Village, expressed his hope that this collaboration for good will help alleviate the burden of the earthquake survivors. “We are very grateful to PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Jawa Tengah 2 Adipala and Human Initiative for their assistance. This assistance is very meaningful for our residents who are currently experiencing difficulties,” he said.

In agreement, Taufik Hidayanto, Public Relations, CSR, and Security Officer of PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Jawa Tengah, stated that this assistance is a form of the Company’s concern and commitment to helping people affected by disasters. “We hope that this act of kindness can help the earthquake survivors to meet their basic needs and recover from this condition soon,” he explained.

This East Java Earthquake Disaster Response Program is a real manifestation of collaboration between parties to help people in need. PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Jawa Tengah 2 Adipala and Human Initiative demonstrate their commitment to helping alleviate the burden of earthquake survivors in East Java.
