The NAMA Summit 2025 took place on 18–19 October 2025 at Ra Suites Simatupang Hotel, Jakarta. The forum brought together leaders from the government, private sector, academia, and civil society organizations to exchange insights and experiences on strengthening social development in Indonesia. The discussions highlighted education as a key factor in shaping the future of the younger generation.
During the summit, Tomy Hendrajati, President of Human Initiative, served as one of the speakers in the session titled “The Role of Stakeholders in Expanding Access to Quality Education.” He emphasized that cross-sector collaboration is essential to ensure that every child in Indonesia has access to inclusive and quality education. According to him, communities, governments, and the private sector can work together to create broader learning opportunities, especially for children in remote and underserved areas.
Human Initiative has been developing various community-based education programs. One of them, the HOME Program (Hug, Opportunity, Mentality & Education), provides learning spaces where children can grow in a safe and supportive environment. The program currently operates across 21 locations in 10 provinces, reaching more than 1,000 children. This success has been made possible through collaboration with corporations, universities, and local governments.
In addition, Human Initiative has expanded children’s access to knowledge through the Digital Library Program, which reaches 5,000 children in six provinces. The program provides digital devices, connectivity, and literacy mentoring, ensuring that technological access translates into meaningful learning. Partnerships with the private sector, educational institutions, and local governments have been key to the program’s success.
Human Initiative’s participation in NAMA Summit 2025 reaffirms the importance of multi-sector collaboration in expanding educational access. Through synergy and shared commitment, more children can learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential.
