Human Initiative Strengthens Humanitarian Workers’ Capacity through Introduction to National and Regional Alliances

Jakarta, Tuesday, 12 August 2025 – Human Initiative held a capacity-building program for its humanitarian workers, focusing on the introduction of the Human Initiative Alliance at both national and regional levels. This initiative was designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of the collaborative networks that support humanitarian programs, enabling more effective and impactful cooperation.

During the activity, participants received in-depth presentations on the structure, roles, and scope of work of alliances in various regions. The materials covered the process of alliance formation, strategies for maintaining relationships with partners, and the benefits of expanding outreach. The discussion also highlighted how cross-regional coordination can accelerate humanitarian response and enhance the quality of field programs.

Bambang Suherman, Vice President of Human Initiative, emphasized that the greatest strength of humanitarian work lies in synergy among stakeholders.

“It is important for us to understand alliances and nurture them. Challenges in addressing humanitarian issues will be difficult to resolve if handled alone,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kaimuddin, Manager of Humanitarian Diplomacy and Advocacy at Human Initiative, reminded participants of the importance of togetherness in tackling long-term humanitarian challenges.

“If we want to move faster, perhaps we can go alone. But if we want to go further in addressing humanitarian work, we must go together,” he stated.
