Humanitrip 2022 Towards Rawagede Village: Help Develop Village Industries in Bogor

Sirnajaya, Bogor Regency – In commemoration of World Coffee Day, the Human Initiative (HI), Saturday (1/10), held an activity entitled Humanitrip 2022: Sirnajaya Coffee Tourism Bogor. This activity aims to introduce the IR empowerment program as well as to invite the public to actively participate in supporting the welfare program for Indonesian farmers.

In this activity, the participants visited Rawa Gede Village, Sirnajaya Village, Bogor Regency. This is a Village Industry Development Program (BID) area. A number of communities, collaborating partners and invited guests also attended the activity. The participants were invited to see the beauty of Rawa Gede Village while enjoying HI fostered products.

Vice President of Human Initiative, Rully Barlian Thamrin also accompanied the invited guests on this visit.

“Today we from the Human Initiative held a Humanitrip. In addition to inviting guests, we also introduce our programs, especially in the development of village industries. In this case the results of industrial coffee products are also developing. Of course this is the result of our cooperation because in this case, we are the facilitators of this program. Thank you for the support, hopefully we can continue to support the economic development of the community, “he said.

Acknowledgments of Beneficiaries to Donors

Kang Deden, one of the beneficiaries of this program, also shared his story.

“The funny thing is, we are coffee farmers, but if we want coffee, we go to the shop and buy coffee sachets. I’ve never enjoyed my own coffee. That’s all because previously we still lacked knowledge in processing coffee plantations, it was still haphazard. It’s limited to being green beans and after that we can’t process it anymore. Thank God, now there are many who support us, especially HI and the donors. Now we can process coffee to roasting and sell more diverse products, not just green beans,” he said.

The visit continues with full of excitement with educational tours to the coffee plantations. Together with the beneficiaries, the Humanitrip participants saw firsthand the coffee plantations in Sirnajaya village.
