Tanjung Mancang Village in Kejuruan Muda Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang District, became a space for togetherness as residents prepared for iftar. On Thursday, February 19, 2026, the GEMBIRA Program (Gerakan Masak dan Buka Puasa Bersama Warga) brought together community members, volunteers, local leaders, and representatives from the local government in a warm and open gathering.
Since the afternoon, residents and volunteers worked together to prepare iftar meals. At the same time, children participated in learning and play activities. Conversations flowed naturally throughout the event, strengthening relationships within the community. As the afternoon progressed, the program continued with a religious talk and collective prayers before the call to break the fast. During the preparation process, Lord Adi, third place winner of MasterChef Indonesia Season 8, cooked alongside residents and volunteers while sharing his experiences in a relaxed and engaging way.
The activity created space for mutual encouragement, particularly for residents who are still rebuilding their lives after the floods. Moments of togetherness allowed people to share stories and gradually regain a sense of stability.
During the event, Tengku Syaiful Bahri, Head of Tanjung Mancang Village, expressed his appreciation and hopes for continued collaboration.
“I extend my deepest gratitude to our friends from Human Initiative who have accompanied us since the post flood period until today through this communal iftar activity. We hope that Human Initiative will continue to be present with us throughout Ramadan, including through Ramadan packages and assistance for orphans in Tanjung Mancang,” he said.
Meanwhile, Muslizar, S.Pd., M.M., representing the Government Affairs, Aceh Special Affairs, and Social Welfare Division, expressed appreciation for the initiative that brought comfort to flood affected communities.
“Residents affected by the floods can find some relief through efforts like this that help lighten their burdens during difficult times. Thank you to the Human Initiative team. We hope this program continues so that the people of Aceh Tamiang receive ongoing support and can recover after the major floods,” he stated.
Ustadz Syahrizal Darwis, Chair of the Aceh Tamiang Ulema Council, also delivered a message of encouragement.
“Let us strive to give our best for others through prayers and meaningful actions. Even the smallest act of kindness carries great value in the sight of Allah. We pray that Human Initiative continues to carry out its humanitarian programs in Aceh Tamiang,” he shared.
Approximately 550 people participated in the activity. The gathering reflected how solidarity can make each step of recovery more meaningful and encourage communities to keep moving forward.
Through various humanitarian initiatives, Human Initiative invites the public to walk together in acts of kindness. Participation and collaboration can begin through solusipeduli.org as a simple step toward giving and growing together.
