Generosity Jusuf Hamka (Babah Alun)

Jusuf is known as an entrepreneur who builds toll road. He built Masjid Babah Alun under the IR Wiyoto-Wiyono toll road. He also aspires to build 1000 mosques in the country. In addition, he is the founder of a very unique yellow rice stall. Yellow rice that he sells for the needy people at a very cheap price. He explained the cheap price concept is not meant to kill the surrounding small businesses.

Jusuf bought the yellow price from small businesses at a price of IDR 10,000 – IDR 12,000. Then ask for the sellers of the yellow rice to take care of his stalls and receive IDR 3,000 from each portion of yellow rice. After that, he will subsidize the rest. “So that alms blessings for them, but their prayers will bless for us”, he explained. If you talk about business, it certainly will not make a profit, but he never thought about this because his intention was just wanting to help others.
