Masohi, 2025 — Human Initiative officially launched the Sebar Qurban 2025 Program through a Kick Off and Launching event held in Dusun Namasula, Masohi, Central Maluku (April 16th). Carrying the theme “Qurban Saling Menguatkan,” this program serves as an invitation to strengthen the spirit of togetherness, social responsibility, and humanitarian collaboration with far-reaching impacts.
The Beginning of the Sebar Qurban 2025 Series
This event marks the beginning of the qurban program series by Human Initiative. The event is not only aimed at facilitating the worship of Muslims but also at making a tangible effort to stimulate the local farmers’ economy. Additionally, the program aims to spread happiness to the people of Indonesia, especially in 3T areas (Underdeveloped, Outermost, and Frontier regions). With the principles of being affordable, in accordance with Islamic law, and with a broad impact, this program brings comprehensive benefits in the spiritual, social, and economic sectors.
The Regent of Central Maluku, Zulkarnain, also attended the Qurban Kick Off Launch. He spoke about the synergy between local governments and humanitarian organizations. He explained that both institutions support the fulfillment of balanced nutrition and food security for the community. The Central Maluku region, with its potential and challenges, needs programs that directly address the needs of its people.
President of Human Initiative, Tomy Hendrajati, also shared some insights. “Qurban is not just an act of worship; it is a social construct that addresses food security challenges, empowers local farmers, and spreads nutrition to remote areas. Only through inclusive and meaningful collaboration can we make qurban an instrument for sustainable development,” he said.
Also present was the Vice President of Human Initiative, Bambang Suherman, who emphasized that the momentum of Eid al-Adha is the perfect time to strengthen the network of goodness. In his speech, he emphasized that qurban is not only a religious ritual but also a tangible form of solidarity and support for the communities in need.
For 25 years, Human Initiative has earned the trust to manage qurban donations from donors. The Sebar Qurban program, in addition to its spiritual benefits, also offers social benefits. For Sebar Qurban 2025, Human Initiative targets to reach 25 provinces, 116 districts/cities, and 9 overseas regions. A total of 225,000 beneficiaries will receive the happiness of qurban meat.
“Qurban can be a solution to solve national problems such as malnutrition, social inequality, and poverty that still exist today,” Bambang Suherman added during the Kick Off of Sebar Qurban in Central Maluku.
A Concrete Step of Care
One of the resilient farmers, Maksum from Holo Village, Amahai Sub-district, Central Maluku, was the highlight of the Sebar Qurban 2025 Kick Off event. He shared that he currently owns 34 cattle and has been collaborating with Human Initiative since 2018 for qurban animal sales. He feels happy because this program helps him support his family.
With a spirit of mutual strength, Human Initiative invites the wider community to take part in this movement of goodness. Together, we can make qurban a tangible step that brings about change and strengthens solidarity in the face of life’s challenges.
