Qurban Reaching Remote Areas: Human Initiative’s Qurban Distribution Program with 3 Core Values

The act of Qurban is a special moment to share happiness and blessings with others. However, not everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of Qurban meat, especially in remote areas that are far from Qurban animal distribution points. This is where Human Initiative steps in with the Qurban Distribution Program. Through collaboration with various parties, Human Initiative strives to deliver the best Qurban from our Dear Initiators to the remote areas, emphasizing three main values:

Inspirational Stories from Remote Areas

Last year, Human Initiative helped distribute Qurban to various remote areas, carrying the entrusted happiness to the program beneficiaries. One inspiring area is the community of new Muslim converts and former East Timorese refugees in Noelbaki Village, Central Kupang Subdistrict, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.

Human Initiative, represented by its central and branch office teams, visited Noelbaki Village, one of the beneficiaries of the Qurban Distribution 2023. Ade Putri Maysaroh, General Manager of Organizational Development at Human Initiative, had many opportunities to converse with the local community, revealing facts about religious tolerance there.

In her notes, Ade mentioned that some families are non-Muslims, yet they live with high religious tolerance. “The non-Muslim group suggested building a prayer room (mushala) so that the Muslim group wouldn’t have to walk too far to the mosque,” she said.

This story is just one example of the many positive impacts from last year’s Qurban by our Dear Initiators. The program not only provides Qurban meat but also fosters gratitude, care, and a spirit of cooperation among the community.
