Reaching Africa Amid Food Access Challenges Through the Flash Sale Qurban Program

Qurban is not only about convenient payment methods, compliance with Islamic principles, or healthy livestock. It is also about where the benefits are directed. Through the Flash Sale Qurban program, Human Initiative invites the public to perform qurban in a more practical way while also understanding the impact of its distribution. This raises an important question: why is Africa one of the destination regions?

First, it is important to understand the situation there. The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World (SOFI) 2025 report published by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), together with the World Health Organization and the World Food Programme, recorded that more than 20% of Africa’s population experienced hunger in 2024, equal to around 307 million people. Future projections also remain concerning. By 2030, approximately 512 million people are expected to experience chronic hunger, with nearly 60% of them living in Africa.

This means food needs across the continent remain significant and unevenly distributed. In many regions, families rely mainly on staple foods with very limited dietary variation. At the same time, they rarely consume animal protein such as meat. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization emphasizes that protein plays an important role in maintaining immune strength and supporting healthy growth.

On the other hand, qurban can help respond to these conditions. Qurban meat provides additional protein intake that many families rarely receive in their daily lives. Human Initiative therefore directs part of its qurban distribution to Africa so the benefits can be felt more meaningfully by communities in need.

Furthermore, Human Initiative designs this program based on data and field conditions. Through this approach, every qurban contribution can create clearer and more measurable impact. As more people participate together, the benefits can also reach wider communities.

During this program period, participants can join the Flash Sale Qurban with a contribution of Rp1.7 million for 1/7 of a cow weighing approximately 200 kilograms. Through this opportunity, more people can contribute without reducing the value and impact of the qurban itself.

Human Initiative invites you to collaborate through solusipeduli.org. Through this effort, the qurban you perform can reach communities in need in a more meaningful and impactful way.
