Shopping with Orphans: A Collaboration of Kindness Between Human Initiative and Namaa Charity

Jakarta, March 13, 2025 – Namaa Charity and Human Initiative collaborated to organize the “Shopping with Orphans” program at Ramayana and Robinson Cibubur shopping centers. This event was a demonstration of kindness and compassion for orphans around Jakarta, Depok, and Bogor.
Hundreds of orphans from the surrounding areas were excited to participate in this program. As part of the collaboration, the participants had the opportunity to shop for basic food packages and clothes. This event was warmly welcomed by both the participants and their parents.
Syeikh Khalid, a representative from Namaa Charity, officially opened the event with his welcoming speech. He expressed his happiness at seeing and meeting the participants. He also hoped that the Shopping with Orphans program would bring benefits to the participants.
“I am truly happy to be here and meet all of you. I hope that today’s program will bring positive outcomes for all the participants,” he said.
The joy was evident throughout the event, from start to finish. During the event, the participants were divided into several groups, each accompanied by a guide. One of the participants, Reva (12), shared her excitement about joining the Shopping with Orphans program.
“I bought instant noodles, milk, and clothes for myself and my younger sibling. The event was so much fun, and I was really happy shopping today. I hope there will be more events like this in the future,” said Reva.
The event did not end there. To close the program, Namaa Charity and Human Initiative also organized a joint iftar with the participants. The iftar was a symbol of care and togetherness for the orphans. The hope is that this goodness program will become a source of joy and a platform for the orphans to experience happiness.
