Situation Report #4 Cianjur Earthquake, HI Team Ready to Standby at Residential Locations of the Affected Residents

CIANJUR –Entering the second day after the Cianjur earthquake that occurred on Monday (21/11), the Human Initiative team and other volunteers coordinated at the earthquake site. Until now, the process of evacuation, response and distribution of aid is still ongoing.

Quoting from the BNPB website, the Head of BNPB, Lt. Gen. Suharyanto and BNPB senior officials are still in Cianjur Regency to get directly involved in disaster emergency management.

“The focus of the active emergency response in the first 3X24 hours is the search and rescue of affected residents. Running parallel, there have been 14 evacuation points with public kitchen facilities, medical personnel and logistics that are adequate and continue to be perfected,” said the Head of BNPB at the Cianjur Regent’s Office, West Java, Wednesday (23/11).

Since the first day after the Earthquake, the Human Initiative team has been working to assist in handling disaster emergencies. Starting from deploying a team to help with the evacuation, providing a Charging Station, distributing aid in the form of ready-to-eat food and kitchen services. The Human Initiative team is still on site to assist affected residents and coordinate with local stakeholders.
