Bogor Regency – Initially, Ade Rahmat was a participant in the organic farming training program, a collaboration between Human Initiative and ICTS in March 2022. Five months later on Sunday, August 28, Ade Rahmat is now sharing with 44 participants who are farmers at the Sukadamai Village office, Bogor Regency, West Java. The training themed “Training Of Trainers” aims to share experiences with local farmers on Organic Farming methods. In addition to higher yields, this method in general can produce healthier agricultural products because it does not use chemicals in the agricultural process.
The Head of Sukadamai Village, H. Pepen Supendi, expressed his support for the training activities. He hopes that this training can be a long-term collaboration among farmers, presenters and Human Initiative, especially in the form of agricultural potential development programs.
Ade Rahmat, the speaker at this training, opened the training by giving a pre-test. This initial test is to measure the participants’ understanding of farming methods. After that, the material continued with knowledge about organic farming. Ade also shared his achievements and experiences while applying the organic farming method.
“My advice is to continue to develop this organic farming method. With good assistance and perseverance, God willing, this method can help the community to be healthier and more prosperous,” said Ade.
The training continues into a workshop or direct application in the field. The material ends with a post-test to measure the level of understanding of the participants. In addition, the participants were also active in question and discussion sessions.
Mansur, one of the participants gave testimony during the training.
“I hope there will be more events like this as it can provide knowledge about agriculture, guide and also help farmers to be more prosperous,” he concluded.
