Jakarta – Solusi Coffee was present at the 2023 Nusantara Coffee Festival, Kedoya, West Jakarta, on 1-3 February 2023, bringing Tujak Lombok Coffee which consists of Robusta Coffee and Arabica Coffee from Human Initiative empowerment program as an attraction. The coffee festival was held in celebration of the 53rd birthday of the Media Indonesia newspaper.

“This is an opportunity for fellow farmers from upstream to downstream to be able to perform. As a place to promote their products,” said Central ASKI Public Relations, Rini S. Hasanah, in the opportunity to talk with Human Initiative volunteers.

The Indonesian Coffee Association (ASKI) is believed to be the community that bridges the presence of local coffee producers at the 2023 Coffee Festival. Rini admits that she is happy because ASKI has succeeded in inviting coffee producers from Aceh to Papua. One of ASKI’s goals is to partner with big local coffee producers to partner with small ones. Moving forward together so that Indonesian coffee goes global.

Kopi Solusi from the social enterprise Human Initiative, is one of 41 booths from various Indonesian coffee SMEs. Bringing the background story of Kopi Solusi and Kopi Tujak Lombok (Tujak means ‘Pound’ in Sasak language) which became the main attraction for booth visitors. ASKI originally learned about Kopi Solusi from one of its members who was a Human Initiative volunteer.

“ASKI is interested in Solusi Coffee, because during the presentation, Kopi Solusi said that it has farmers in Sembalun, Lombok. Wow cool!” Rini said.

ASKI gives extraordinary appreciation to the Human Initiative. A local Indonesian NGO that helped move the wheels of the economy after the Lombok earthquake, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), to have assisted coffee farmers.
“For this reason, we are giving the Human Initiative an opportunity to share their empowerment with Lombok Farmers on Peak Day, February 3, 2023,” concluded Rini.

The 2023 Indonesian Coffee Festival presents a number of influential figures in Indonesia. Some of them are Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia, Governor of coffee-producing regions, CEO of Kopi Kenangan, and other figures.
