Jakarta – Thursday, November 4, 2021, flash floods hit Batu & Malang cities in East Java. The updated information showed that 6 villages were affected by the flash flood, including:
Until now, the handling and evaluation of the affected victims is still ongoing. The coordination between the Human Initiative team and the Main Command Post for handling the flash floods in Batu City found out the floods have damaged 21 houses, goods, and lost pets.
In addition, the team also found 2 survivors, 1 person died, and 4 people were declared missing. The Human Initiative continues to make rapid assessments, evaluate affected victims, and clean up the debris caused by the flash floods.
There are 2 evacuation posts that have been established in the middle of the location of Malang City. The latest data shows that 238 people took refuge in Senaputra Klojen and 60 people in Jatimulyo Lowokwaru.
