Caring for Children with Disabilities: Human Initiative and YBM PLN UIW MMU Bring Comfort to 107 Children at State Special School in Batu Merah

Maluku – Human Initiative in the Maluku branch, along with the kindness of the Baitul Maal Foundation of PLN Unit Induk Wilayah Maluku and Maluku Utara (YBM PLN UIW MMU), expressed their care for children with disabilities. Directly, Human Initiative, along with YBM PLN UIW Maluku and Maluku Utara, brought comfort to 107 students at the State Special School (Sekolah Luar Biasa or SLB) in Batu Merah, Ambon, Maluku (October 17).

Imam Musonep, representing YBM PLN UIW Maluku and Maluku Utara, admitted that he was deeply moved when entering the State Special School in Batu Merah. In his speech, he expressed that he usually gives a loud speech. However, this habit disappeared in his speech this time because he was deeply touched by these extraordinary children.

“We hope that through this assistance, we can help cover the children’s educational expenses. Additionally, it can teach us about the importance of showing care as social beings,” Imam expressed.

Hani Hehanusa, the Vice Principal of SLB Negeri Batu Merah, expressed her gratitude to YBM PLN and Human Initiative. She felt that this kindness initiative truly helps the children access good education.

“Thank you for helping us. The assistance provided is truly beneficial for our children,” Hani said in her speech.

This collaboration of kindness is part of the Education Cost Assistance Program, initiated by Human Initiative in Maluku along with YBM PLN UIW Maluku and Maluku Utara. At the end of the event, M Jabal Nur, the Head of the Maluku Branch of Human Initiative, ceremonially presented an award for the collaboration program to YBM PLN UIW Maluku and Maluku Utara.
