Closing the ‘Spread the Qurban’ Program, Human Initiative Spreads the Benefits of Qurban to 210,000 Families

9 July 2023

Depok, West Java – Through its “Spread the Qurban” program, Human Initiative has brought the blessings of Qurban to over 210,000 families in remote areas of Indonesia and seven other countries worldwide. The number of beneficiary families will continue to grow, as Human Initiative is still accepting qurban offerings until July 2, 2023, at 12:00 WIB (Western Indonesia Time).

During the ‘2023 Spread the Qurban Closing Ceremony’, Rully Barlian Thamrin, Vice President of Resources at Human Initiative, highlighted how the ‘Spread the Qurban’ program aligns with the institution’s vision. The vision, encapsulated by the phrase ‘Moving Goodness for Dignity’, underscores the program’s mission to extend the benefits of qurban with compassion and respect.

“Spread the Qurban is a testament to our obedience and sincerity. By participating in the ‘Spread the Qurban 2023’ program, qurbanists, beneficiaries, and breeders become part of a united community,” Rully explained.

The concept of “Becoming Brothers and Sisters” reflects the interconnectedness fostered by the Spread Qurban 2023 program. With the theme ‘Worthful Qurban’, every qurban transaction made by donors to Human Initiative supports local farmers. Additionally, the benefits of these qurban offerings reach relatives in remote parts of Indonesia and abroad, providing them with the opportunity to enjoy meat during Eid al-Adha.

Representing the Human Initiative Qurban Squad, Muhammad Alwi shared that the organization has engaged 1,200 volunteers in Indonesia, Somalia, Uganda, Palestine, Myanmar, Turkey, Kenya, and Tanzania. Based on available reports, Human Initiative has confirmed that 210,835 families have received the benefits of qurban meat (Source: Power BI, Sunday, July 2, 2023, at 15:00 WIB). While this number will continue to increase until the final tally is reached, Human Initiative aims to submit a comprehensive report within 14 days following the ‘Closing Ceremony of Spread the Qurban 2023’.

“Human Initiative is committed to transparency and accountability, pledging to submit reports within 14 days starting today. We hope that this act of kindness will continue to benefit the community. Let’s persist in spreading goodness and upholding dignity,” concluded Muhammad Alwi.
