Delivering Benefits of Qurban in Kelaba Village

Human Initiative – Among the many areas targeted as beneficiaries of the 2023 Qurban distribution, Kelaba Village has been included. This coastal village is one of the 10 villages situated in Kiandarat District, East Seram, Maluku Province.

What makes Kelaba Village particularly appealing to the volunteers of Human Initiative in Maluku? Muhammad Jabal, the Head of the Maluku branch of Human Initiative, revealed that Kelaba Village is still considered an area with a significant number of underprivileged individuals.

The majority of the community has been engaged in fishing for generations as their livelihood to support their families. Additionally, some residents independently manage gardens with limited resources, which provide a modest contribution to their family’s well-being.

For the first time, Kelaba Village has been selected as a beneficiary area for the 2023 Qurban distribution by the Maluku branch of Human Initiative. Apart from being located in the 3T area (left behind, outermost, frontier), Kelaba Village meets the criteria of having the lowest average monthly income among its residents.

“This is the first time that Kelaba Village is benefiting from the Qurban distribution by Human Initiative. We hope that the blessings of this qurban bring joy to them on the auspicious occasion of Eid Al-Adha,” said Jabal.
