Dicka’s Inspirational Story: Always Trying to Do the Best

Initiator Friends, we are going to listen to inspirational stories about Dicka.
“Always pray 5 times a day and never miss praying at the mosque”.

That was an impression of Dicka’s friends and the people around him. Dicka Shafa Ghifari is one of the beneficiaries of Human Initiative orphanage scholarship program. However, on Thursday, October 6, 2022, he passed away after being one of the residents affected by floods in Jakarta. At that time Dicka was at school.
When Human Initiative team visited Dicka’s home, his family and relatives told the kindness that Dicka did during his life. The story starts from a man who always met Dicka at the mosque for mass morning prayer, until a story of a woman who met Dicka at the vegetable market almost every morning. Yes, Dicka always helped his mother doing shopping.

Even in his daily life, Dicka is always enthusiastic in doing his activities, especially going to school. Dicka always tried to give the best in everything. One day he tried to memorize one of surah in the Qur’an. To maximize his memorization, he uses a blindfold to keep his focus in memorizing. Not forgetting every achievement and development that occurs, Dicka always asks for his mother’s prayer and updates him on every journey of his spirit every day.

“Thank you for supporting Dicka, may Allah repay everyone’s kindness,” said Dicka’s mother.

Initiator Friends, from Dicka we learned about various things, especially his enthusiasm for learning and worship. Hopefully this inspirational story from Dicka can be a fire for all of us to continue to do everything with the best effort.
