Education Hero: Indonesian Quran Memorizers

History proves that there are many heroes who fought for Indonesia. Starting from the era of Indonesia’s struggle for independence until now. Heroes are not only those who are in the military and taking up arms. Other professions such as teachers or health workers can also be called heroes.

Especially the heroes who are engaged in education, they fight for Indonesia with their contribution in the field of education, such as teachers for example. Our younger brothers and sisters who take part in international Olympics, volunteer teachers, and even Quran memorization also belong to this category.

Indonesian Quran Memorizers

Magelang, one of the beautiful cities in Indonesia, has a lot of educational heroes. Human Initiative found that there were 3 children who were struggling to memorize the Qur’an.

First, from the youngest, Annisa Uroya. Even though she is only 7 years old, her spirit to become a hafizoh deserves to be a model. In fact, Roya lives a very simple life, but she is so persistent in memorizing the Qur’an.

Next, we get to know Ikhsan. This 1st grade elementary school student also keeps trying to add to his memorization of the Quran every day. Finally, the memorization of Ikhsan has reached Surah Al Mutafifin with 25 verses.

Then, let’s meet Rara, this cheerful girl who is currently in grade 4 Primary School also has the same fighting spirit as Roya and Ikhsan in memorizing the Qur’an. Rara has loved the Qur’an since she was in the 1st grade of elementary school. Currently, Rara has memorized Quran until Surah At-Takwir which consists of 29 verses.
