Endah, A Tough Hero with Full Determination

The survival and vertical rescue training activities in Cidahu, Sukabumi yesterday gave a deep impression to Endah Khamelia. She is a young entrepreneur in the health sector who is busy taking care of his various businesses everyday.

Endah, who since 2017 decided to get involved in social humanity activities, is one of 2 female participants who joined the training.

“I once learned about disaster management when I was in college. But never experienced hands-on practice. Therefore, I want to strengthen the theory that I know with field practice,” Endah said about her motivation to join this agenda.

Endah said she was satisfied because this activity brought her to meet friends who were cool, fun, and lively. Especially with competent presenters and field instructors so that he can get a lot of new knowledge from experts in their fields.

If you tell about the three-day moment in Mount Halimun National Park, Salak, Sukabumi, there are many things that Endah wants to tell. She received various theoretical and practical lessons such as proper & correct disaster management, being a leader, time management, maintaining solidarity, and how to manage emotions in an emergency. Because to become a volunteer in the search and rescue field, you need to have competent knowledge. Not just a desire, but not having the ability. This is related to how Endah will become a savior. To be a hero to yourself and others.

Although there were only 2 female participants, Endah admitted that she was not inferior. Instead, she can learn a lot and exchange experiences from people with longer experiences in the volunteer world.

Previously, the woman with glasses had participated in HIVE activities several times. One of them is being a volunteer COVID-19 vaccinator.

Endah hopes that the Human Initiative will again work on training like this again for the sake of continuing her knowledge so that the participants can deepen and add their insights. Endah also hopes to be included in the rescue activities directly so that the knowledge gained this time is not only written on paper but she can apply her new knowledge and increase her experiences by continuing to practice so that she can become a competent next generation.
