Bekasi, West Java – Human Initiative, in collaboration with the Center for Indonesian Medical Students’ Activities (CIMSA), provided healthcare services for People with Mental Disorders (PWMD) at Al-Fajar Berseri Mental Rehabilitation Center, Tambun, Bekasi, West Java (August 17th). In this event, Human Initiative, together with CIMSA, catered to 472 PWMD.

This humanitarian activity coinciding with the 78th Independence Day of Indonesia involved various community and humanitarian organizations. Among them were Human Initiative Volunteer Energy (HIVE) and CIMSA Regional 3, which offered basic healthcare services to the PWMD.

The healthcare services provided by HIVE and CIMSA Regional 3 included blood pressure checks. The event, which took place from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM Western Indonesia Time, engaged HIVE volunteers and seven volunteers from CIMSA in healthcare service delivery.

Siska Almaindah, one of the Human Initiative Volunteer Energy (HIVE) volunteers, expressed that this social activity went smoothly. From this event, Siska, as a HIVE volunteer, shared that she gained significant learning experiences, including a sense of gratitude in life.

“Human beings are created and destined by the will of Allah. At present, I am grateful to be able to fulfill the needs of PWMD, who may not have access to healthcare services as frequently as we do,” she said, also being a nurse.

This event marked the first collaboration between HIVE and CIMSA in healthcare services. Moving forward, HIVE and CIMSA are committed to continuing their collaboration in healthcare services, encompassing health education and basic health examinations on other occasions.
