Health Hero, Inspirational Figure to Save the Future of the Nation

Inspirational figures continue to emerge from various scientific disciplines. This time a great story came from the health heroes who last December won the Inspirational Midwife program 2021. The 6-month program is a form of support for the midwives. Especially those who succeeded in carrying out the stunting prevention movement (lack of nutritional intake) in the First 1,000 Days of Life (HPK) group.

This program was launched on July 5, 2020. The registration starts from July 25 to August 31, 2021. There are 1,474 registered midwives in this program. From this number, 15 midwives who had the opportunity to implement their innovation program were selected. The implementation of the idea is carried out from December 2020 to June 2021.

The 15 selected midwives received Rp 10 million funds per person to implement their program. This program aims to support the prevention of stunting (undernourished infants) in Tangerang Regency, Banten.

Awards for Health Heroes

On this occasion, Kimia Farma collaborated with the Human Initiative, the Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI) of Banten Province, Kitabisa, and the Tangerang District Health Office in carrying out corporate social activities to realize innovations for midwives to create inspiring and beneficial programs for the community.

The 6 midwives selected with the best program consisted of 5 winners and 1 midwife with an inspiring story. The selection of the winner of the inspirational midwife program is based on the successful implementation of the program stated in the proposal and the development of the project within a period of 6 months. As a form of appreciation, 6 winners received education funds with a total value of Rp 50 million.

Dharma Syahputra, Director General & Human Capital of Kimia Farma hopes that these ideas and innovations will not only be implemented in the surrounding area. But it is also a role model for other regions throughout Indonesia. According to Dharma, this program can be implemented in other areas. So that more and more brilliant ideas emerge from other midwives and they have a positive impact on the Indonesian health sector.

Meanwhile, Vice President of Operations Human Initiative, Andjar Radite, said that this program is a source of inspiration and motivation for all parties, especially midwives. Through this issue, 15 selected midwives in this program competed with high enthusiasm to serve and serve even in the midst of a pandemic.

The midwives involved in the program also hope that in the future more mothers will be saved and well educated so that more and more lives of the nation’s future successors can be saved.
