Human Aid Initiative UK, as a Strategic Partner of Human Initiative, Arrives in Morocco for Earthquake Response

Morocco – Several days after the Morocco earthquake, the Human Aid Initiative UK team arrived in the city of Casablanca on September 16th to carry out humanitarian aid distribution for affected residents. Human Aid Initiative UK is a strategic partner of Human Initiative in delivering the trust and concern of the Indonesian community to those affected by the earthquake on September 9, 2023.

Upon their arrival in Morocco, the volunteers from Human Aid Initiative coordinated with the local government and conducted field assessments in collaboration with local NGOs. The team also held meetings with the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) to bring contributions from Indonesian citizens through Human Initiative.

Fahrudin Alwi, a volunteer from Human Initiative in Indonesia, expressed that the collaboration with Human Aid Initiative in the UK is an effort to respect the policies of the Moroccan government. As of now, the Moroccan government has only allowed international aid from four countries, including the UK, Spain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“Human Initiative will maximize the distribution of humanitarian aid through collaboration with Human Aid Initiative in the UK. This step is an effort by Human Initiative to continue the goodwill from Indonesia,” stated Alwi.
