Human Initiative Helps Present Clean Water Sources in Remote West Java

Garut Regency – Wednesday (24/08), Human Initiative through Clean Water Program built water sources in Cijeler village, Cibiuk village, Garut regency, West Java. This clean water source will be useful for the residents of Cijeler village, considering that they really need a clean water source for their daily needs.

One of the residents of Cijeler village, Mrs. Keuis, told about the condition of the residents in accessing water for their daily needs.

“We, the residents in the village used to take water from the public well near the mosque. The water is cloudy, smelly and dirty. So we only use it for washing clothes and dishes, not for drinking or cooking.” told Keuis.

To get clean water, 200 families in Cilejer village had to walk 1 KM through rice fields and rivers to the nearest clean water source. Moreover, during the dry season, the water infiltration wells run dry, making it increasingly difficult for residents to get clean water.

With the construction of new clean water sources, it will be easier for residents to access clean water. The process of developing the clean water source also involves several stages. Among them are the assessment process, Geoelectric checks to the soil drilling process. With great joy, the residents pray that every process of developing this clean water source goes well.

Arien Rizka Putri from Human Initiative in West Java said that this well would be useful for local residents’ water needs. In sha Allah, clean water wells will be ready around mid-September.
