Sharing the Happiness of Ramadan: Human Initiative and Amazon Web Service Distribute Iftar and Gift Packages in Karawang and Central Cikarang

West Java – Human Initiative collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to distribute 3,100 iftar packages and 1,130 gift packages for people in Karawang and Central Cikarang (13/4). The collaboration, which was carried out from the 1st to the 30th of Ramadan 1444 H (2023), has aroused enthusiasm among the people, the majority of whom work in the industrial and agricultural sectors.

“I am very grateful to AWS and Human Initiative. May all the help during this month of Ramadan be blessed. Amen,” said Ade (38), a mother who is a beneficiary of the AWS Ramadan program with Human Initiative, with joy on her face.

The parcel distribution program and iftar initiative during Ramadan are part of the ‘Ramadan for All’ programs initiated by the Human Initiative. These programs are aimed at assisting the poor in the 3T areas (frontier, outermost, underdeveloped), disaster-affected communities, and people with disabilities.

“We chose the Central Cikarang and Karawang areas as distribution areas as a way of contributing to the society, especially those in our work area. Our hope is that the support provided by all AWS employees during this Ramadan will benefit and bring happiness to the beneficiaries, as well as to the employees who have generously contributed,” said Winu Adiarto, President Director of AWS Indonesia, at the program launching event at the Nurul Huda Mosque, Wanakerta Village, district Teluk Jambe Barat, Karawang (13/4).

The launch of this kindness program was attended by Andjar Radite, Vice President of Operations at Human Initiative (standing in the right corner), Simon Tan, Director of Operations for AWS Singapore and Indonesia (standing fourth from the right), Winu Adiarto, President Director of AWS Indonesia (standing in the left corner), and local officials. During this launch event, 100 gift packages and 100 iftar packages were distributed to 100 beneficiaries.

Collaborating with AWS this time has been a valuable partnership in implementing the Human Initiative’s ‘Ramadan for All’ program, particularly for the people in Karawang and Central Cikarang,” concluded Andjar Radite, Vice President of Operations at Human Initiative.
