Bike2Work Joins Human Initiative in Distributing Qurban Meat, Spreading Benefits on Two Wheels

Ciracas, East Jakarta – Carrying out the qurban mandate on behalf of all donors, Human Initiative has teamed up with the Bike2Work community to distribute qurban meat. On Saturday morning (1/7), Human Initiative and Bike2Work distributed the meat to beneficiaries using bicycles.

In Ciracas, East Jakarta, Human Initiative has partnered with the Bike2Work cyclist community to expand the reach of qurban meat, benefiting people in cities, villages, and all corners of Indonesia.

During the distribution, Human Initiative and Bike2Work took a unique approach. Bike2Work members carried the qurban mandate from Human Initiative donors and shared it while cycling. The route began from the gathering point at Ciracas LRT and extended to the residences of each cyclist.

The beneficiaries of this qurban program are also quite unique. In line with the identity of Bike2Work, the cyclists actively sought out fellow cyclists along the road who could benefit from the qurban meat. These included workers at bicycle repair shops, bicycle herbalists, vendors selling dumplings from bicycles and carts, and others.

“Cyclists from Bike2Work will distribute the meat to the cyclists they encounter on the road, enabling them to enjoy the qurban animals donated by generous Human Initiative supporters. Through this collaboration, we hope that Bike2Work cyclists can help spread the benefits of the sacrificial act,” said Novi, representing Bike2Work.

This collaboration is not the first of its kind. Human Initiative and Bike2Work have been working together since the previous year, continuing their partnership into this year’s Eid al-Adha in 2023.

“We hope that this collaboration will endure. Through the efforts of a community like Bike2Work, we aim to expand the reach of kindness and its benefits,” concluded Miftahul Surur, Leader of the Human Initiative Qurban Squad.
