Initiator Friends, it is humane if we always want something more, be it in terms of wealth, position, or others. It is a good thing if we can make these improvements as targets for self-development. However, what can become a problem if we forget to be grateful for what we already have and always feel incomplete, never satisfied and get enough with what we have already had.

Moreover, with advances in technology, we can easily see other people’s lives that look much better on social media. Then, we start to compare our lives, what we have, with what they show on social media. In fact, if we think for just a moment, do we realize how many blessings of Allah that we have?

Initiator Friends, to avoid getting caught up in this feeling of lack, let’s look at the following grateful tips so that your life is happier.

 

1. Say Thank You and Pray Every Time You Wake Up

Still being able to breathe fresh air in the morning in a healthy condition is the first thing you should be grateful for. There are many people out there who would like to switch positions with you because they are struggling with their illness. Therefore, don’t forget to give thanks by praying when you just wake up.

 

2. Show Your Love To Those Who Are Valuable

Have you ever expressed your love for your beloved parents, siblings, or friends? When was the last time you revealed it? Initiator Friends, never be ashamed to say how much we love them. It’s not hard. If you are shy, you can do it via chat or phone.

 

3. Keep a Gratitude Journal Every Time You Start the Day

Every morning, try to write a gratitude journal. You can write down small things that you are grateful for so that you can start the day with positive energy and be ready to welcome the good things that day.

 

4. Sharing and Caring with Others

Your gratitude can also be expressed in the form of caring by sharing with others. You can participate in programs from Human Initiative, such as being a volunteer teacher at the HOME Children Learning Center, Foster Parents, or simply donating to Solusi Peduli and many more. Seeing that there are many people who are helped because of your kindness can be a source of happiness in itself.
