Collaboration between Human Initiative and Sumut Pos: Spreading the Benefits of Qurban for Newspaper Couriers

Medan, North Sumatra – Human Initiative of North Sumatra teamed up with the local mass media, Sumut Pos, to distribute the benefits of qurban in Medan, North Sumatra (1/7). As part of this collaboration, 23 sheep were slaughtered in the courtyard of the North Sumatra Post Office, Graha Pena Building.
Hirzan, the Marketing Manager for Sumut Pos, shared that the target beneficiaries of this qurban initiative are workers who rely on newspaper distribution. Additionally, the underprivileged individuals residing in the vicinity of the office are also included as beneficiaries of the 2023 Spread the Qurban.
“The ‘Spread the Qurban’ program by Human Initiative is aimed at deliverymen (newspaper couriers), street vendors, newsagents (workers), and the underprivileged individuals living around the Sumut Pos office,” he explained.
Human Initiative has been conducting the Spread Qurban program in North Sumatra for 22 years. Rahmad Sopian, as the Branch Head, expressed his gratitude for the successful implementation of the 2023 Sacrifice Distribution during Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijriah.
Throughout the 2023 Spread Qurban, Human Initiative of North Sumatra also sacrificed animals in 24 other locations. These locations are spread across various regencies and cities in North Sumatra, benefiting a total of 19 thousand families.
“During the Eid al-Adha 1444 moment, Human Initiative of North Sumatra received a mandate to sacrifice a total of 608 sheep and 13 cows. We conducted the sacrifices in 25 locations, including at the Graha Pena Sumut Post,” stated Rahmad Sopian, Head of the North Sumatra Human Initiative Branch.
