Collaboration between ODOJ and Human Initiative for Palestine and Quran Program

Depok – The One Day One Juz (ODOJ) community handed over humanitarian donations to Human Initiative (HI) on Monday (8/12) at the HI office in Depok. The donation handover is a demonstration of ODOJ’s concern for the Palestinian community affected by the humanitarian crisis.

ODOJ’s Chairman, Bakat Setiaji, stated that this donation is the result of fundraising efforts by all ODOJ members in Indonesia.

“We are deeply concerned about the current condition of our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Hopefully, this effort can help alleviate their burden,” said Bakat.

The donation from ODOJ consists of two types: a donation for Palestine, in the form of a clean water program amounting to Rp 1,222,442,593, and a humanitarian donation in the form of a Quran program amounting to Rp 141,882,219.

The donation for Palestine will be distributed by Human Initiative in collaboration with local partners in Egypt. This aid will be used to meet the need for clean water in Gaza, Palestine. The program is expected to address the basic needs of the affected population there.

Additionally, the humanitarian donation in the form of the Quran program will be distributed by Human Initiative to those who have difficulty accessing a proper Quran, especially among children and teenagers.

Tomy Hendrajati, President of Human Initiative, expressed gratitude to ODOJ for the entrusted humanitarian donation. He assured that the donation will be distributed accurately and will be beneficial to our brothers and sisters in Palestine and those in need.

“Insha’Allah, through this collaboration, we can increase the positive impact on a broader community,” he added.
