Human Initiative and Bens Radio Distribute Household Needs Aid to Women Affected by the Semeru Eruption

Human Initiative collaborated with Bens Radio to distribute household assistance for women affected by the Semeru eruption. The collaboration program between Bens Radio and Human Initiative is a form of fundraising. Later the assistance will be distributed to residents affected by the Semeru eruption, especially for women to get help with household needs.

“Human Initiative is working with Bens Radio to carry out recovery efforts for those affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru. In general, this program is in the form of fundraising for mothers and residents affected by the Semeru eruption,” said Ade, Public Relations of Human Initiative.

The assistance for household needs includes bedding and cooking utensils. There is also capital assistance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). It is hoped this aid package can make them smile and get up after experiencing the eruption of Mount Semeru.

To date, Human Initiative team has deployed 15 personnel to the field to assist in the evacuation of victims and residents affected by the Semeru eruption. In addition, several aids in the form of the establishment of water kitchens, ready-to-eat food, food packages, bedding, household equipment, and hygiene kits have been distributed properly.

“Thank you very much. Mattresses and household supplies is very helpful. I can sleep more comfortably,” said one resident affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru who recently received assistance from Human Initiative team.
