18 December 2021

HI JABAR – On Wednesday (11/24/2021), the Kitchen Initiative team, in collaboration with Waqf Salman, carried out an activity to share 250 portions of meatballs for residents affected by the Cilegong Village flash flood. Not to forget Pelag Village, Sukailah Village, Sukaresmi District, Garut Regency. In addition to the sharing effort, JABAR’s Human Initiative also distributed clothing from CV Sailan Industries (Ouval Research).

This meatball and clothing distribution took place in Cilegong Village. The majority of the people who attended this activity were residents of RT 01 & 04/RW 06 and Pelag Village RT 03/RW 07. The distribution of 250 portions of meatballs by the Kitchen Initiative team with Chef Arie and Waqf Salman took place at 12.30 WIB. It was raining heavily when we just started sharing meatballs with Chef Arie. However, this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the people who came. People even used umbrellas, raincoats and head coverings to get a bowl of warm meatballs made by Chef Arie. The chief of RT 01 & 04 and RW 06 were also present to queue and thanked the Kitchen Initiative team and Waqf Salman for the distribution organized in Cilegong Village.

Furthermore, the effort continued with clothing distribution from CV Sailan Industries (Ouval Research) to communities affected by flash floods. Although this activity took place during heavy rains, this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the Kitchen Initiative team, Chef Arie and Waqf Salman and CV Sailan Industries (Ouval Research) to carry out this distribution effort. Affected communities also expressed their gratitude for this activity. Hopefully, this clothing sharing and distribution activity can lift the community’s sadness and benefit the people affected by the Flash Floods.
