Meanwhile, Vice President Operations Human Initiative, Andjar Radite gave a speech and direction to the participants before the group left the location of the first meeting point in Depok.

“Indonesia is a country with a geographical location that has the potential for various natural phenomena. Various challenges arise. Starting from the climate, the earth’s plates, as well as regional conditions that cause various threats of potential disasters, including floods, landslides, fires and so on. For this reason, it is necessary to have as many qualified and skilled human resources as possible to face this challenge.”

Andjar hopes that this opportunity can open the participants’ horizons and improve their understanding and skills and hopefully their knowledge can be useful.

“Hopefully everyone will get the maximum knowledge from this activity,” Andjar said when releasing the participants to the training location.

This training received support from trainers in their fields, including Subur Rojinawi (Head of the Indonesian Disaster Management Squad), Dedi Muhardi (Coordinator of the FMI Education and Training Center and member of APGI), Rizky Dwianto (National SAR Agency), and Udi Juandi (Freedom Activist).

“This training is the first collaboration training between institutions that has been held since the Human Initiative Institute (HII) was established,” said the Disaster Management Program Manager of the Human Initiative, Deni Kurniawan.
