Rita, Great Fighter, Candidate of Doctor in the Future

Rita is the eldest of 3 children. It has been 3 years since she lost her beloved father. Now, Rita only lives with her mother and 2 younger siblings. Rita is the eldest who loves her mother very much. This is evidenced by every day she helps the family’s needs by selling fried bananas, bakwan, sweet potatoes, onde-onde and so on around or at a stall next to a garage.

This 12 year old girl is also willing to help prepare her goods with her mother. Rita usually sells in the afternoon after school. Meanwhile, her mother sells yellow rice from morning to evening. Rita’s mother has an ideal that her children will be able to go to school well even though at this time they don’t have father by their side. The result of their selling every day are used to pay for school and daily needs.

Rita really hopes that her dream to become a good doctor can be realized in the future. This 2nd grade junior high school student in Maluku is very happy to study hard every day. However, right now the situation was very difficult. Her house had collapsed due to the earthquake two years ago and required renovation costs as well as school needs. Rita hopes that she can continue to help her mother so that her mother will have a happy life.
