Providing Assistance with Fertilizer Press Machine: AQUA and Human Initiative Support Healthy Agriculture in Subang

Subang, West Java – AQUA and Human Initiative joined to provide additional support to the Independent Organic Farmers Group in Pasanggrahan Village, Subang Regency, West Java (13/6) by distributing fertilizer press machines. These press machines assist farmers in filtering the fertilizer from the residue after the fermentation process, which typically takes around 30 to 40 days.

The Independent Organic Farmers Group has established a simple Organic Fertilizer Management Unit with a production capacity of up to 800 liters in one growing season. With the aid they have received, their efforts toward practicing healthy farming are set to flourish.

“On behalf of the Independent Farmers Group, I would like to express our gratitude for the assistance in the form of a fertilizer press. We will utilize this tool and make necessary modifications to facilitate its use,” said Romaya, Chair of the Farmers Group.

Bustanul Aripin Nasir, Head of the West Java Human Initiative Program, emphasized that their support extended beyond the distribution of fertilizer presses. AQUA, in collaboration with the Human Initiative, also provided horticultural seeds and polybags.

“The provision of seeds and polybags aligns with the farmers’ needs. They not only cultivate rice but also grow horticultural crops for sale or to meet their family’s vegetable requirements,” he explained.

Previously, AQUA and Human Initiative offered support in the form of drums, which proved valuable for the fertilizer fermentation process. Consequently, this latest assistance further strengthens the self-sufficiency of the Farmers Group.

As a collaborative partner, AQUA also expressed hope for the continuation of Human Initiative’s Healthy Agriculture Program. This initiative plays a vital role in increasing the income of farmers in Pasanggrahan Village, Subang Regency, West Java.
