Regions with Low Meat Consumption are Targets for Human Initiative Qurban Distribution Location This Year

Depok, West Java – Human Initiative in the 2023 “Spread the Qurban” program has opened a Qurban Flash Sale from May 25 to June 6, 2023. In spreading the benefits, 1/7 of the Qurban cows will be distributed to areas with the lowest meat consumption, including Central Indonesia, Eastern Indonesia, and several countries on the African continent.

Miftahul Surur, Leader of Human Initiative Qurban Squad, revealed that this determination was based on data released by BPS. So during the Qurban Flash Sale momentum, Human Initiative prioritized 25 points in Central Indonesia, East Indonesia, and the African continent.

“There are 25 regencies that Human Initiative will target as beneficiaries of this year’s Qurban Flash Sale. In Indonesia, it will spread across Sulawesi Island and Maluku Province. While in Africa, it will be distributed in Somalia, Uganda, and Kenya,” said Surur.

Determination of Qurban Distribution Areas

The process of determining the areas with low meat consumption rates is one of Human Initiative’s priorities this year. Carrying out the vision of “Moving Kindness for Human Dignity,” equal distribution of aid to beneficiaries is an important point for Human Initiative to pay attention to. Therefore, during the Qurban moment, Human Initiative also seeks to facilitate the Qurban participants so that they can distribute goodness through the distribution of Qurban animals to areas with low meat consumption.

Not only is the rate of meat consumption low, but Human Initiative also determines the category of distribution areas in areas with high stunting rates, low-income areas, 3T (underdeveloped, outermost, frontier), and marginal areas. Based on the data, the regions of Somalia, Uganda, and Kenya meet all of these criteria. Therefore, this country on the African continent is also a priority for distributing the Qurban animals of Human Initiative.

“In Indonesia, Maluku and Central Sulawesi meet all the criteria. Therefore, this is a concern for all of us,” continued Surur.

Especially during the Qurban Flash Sale, Human Initiative targets up to 2,563 shares with a cow weighing around 200 kg. Human Initiative hopes to be able to meet the meat consumption needs of the beneficiaries.
