The Joy of Desi, a Special Child Receiving Qurban in Kapaha Village

Human Initiative – In Maluku (1/7), Qurban distribution is still ongoing at various locations in Indonesia. This morning, the Maluku Human Initiative conducted a distribution in Kapaha Village, Pandankasturi Village, Sirimau District, Maluku. Today’s distribution was particularly special as the volunteers of Human Initiative Maluku delivered qurban donations to friends with disabilities in the Kapaha Village area.

“Her name is Desi, and despite her limitations, she is a very cheerful young girl,” said Izzah, a volunteer from Maluku Human Initiative, describing the excitement of interacting with one of the qurban beneficiaries.

Dear Initiators, Desi is a disabled child currently attending the 3rd grade of junior high school. Her face lit up with happiness when the volunteers of Human Initiative visited her to deliver the qurban meat.

“I love rendang and want to cook it,” she exclaimed joyfully.

Desi currently lives with her mother as her father has passed away. She spends her days at home, eagerly waiting for her teacher to come and provide direct instruction. Since her father’s passing, Desi no longer has the opportunity to attend school because her mother suffers from a leg disease and cannot accompany her.

Dear Initiators, Desi is a resilient Indonesian child. Despite her limitations, she remains cheerful with the blessings available to her, including the Qurban sustenance provided by donors like you. Thank you.
