YBM PLN UPT Banda Aceh and HI Aceh Provide Economic Assistance and Development Program for Duafa

YBM PLN UPT Banda Aceh together with Human Initiative launched economic assistance program and fostering the poor at Lam Blang Manyang village, Darul Imarah sub-district, Aceh Besar on Thursday, September 16, 2021, with 50 families receiving beneficiaries. In addition to Lam Blang Manyang village, there are 2 beneficiary villages that also receive the same program, namely Meunasah Manyet village with 50 families of beneficiaries and  Lamreung village, which has received the same program twice with 60 families of beneficiaries.

The launching of the economic assistance program was attended by the head of YBM PLN UPT Banda Aceh Rahmat, the Head of the HI Aceh Branch Apriadi, the village secretary Abdussalam and village officials. In his speech, Rahmat, the chairman of YBM PLN UT Banda Aceh, said that this was a program from the zakat funds for PLN UPT Banda Aceh employees which was given to 3 villages, namely Lam Blang Manyang, Meunasah Manyet and Lamreung villages with 160 beneficiaries. Hopefully the funds we provide can be useful in helping daily needs in the midst of the current pandemic,” he said.

The Head of the HI Aceh Branch, Apradi, in his speech said that the program aimed to affect not only on life in this world but also for life in the hereafter. “Through religious development activities, it is hoped that it can increase faith by maintaining a relationship with God and also maintaining good relations with fellow human beings,” he explained

The Economic Assistance and Development Program for the Dhuafa is a program to provide basic food packages with a shopping coupon system. Each beneficiary receives a shopping coupon that can be used for shopping at a warung or shop in the local village. It aims to help revive the community’s economy. Beneficiaries not only receive basic food packages, but also religious training which is held twice a month. This program is implemented for 6 months, starting from September 2021 – February 2022.
