Reflections on The Birthday of The Prophet Muhammad During The Pandemic

This year, we are all still struggling with the Covid-19 pandemic. All forms of celebration, including the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, must also adapt to the current situation. One of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, namely responding to a deadly epidemic by looking at it positively, should be suitable for us to apply in a pandemic situation like today.

This pandemic has forced us to reflect. We are increasingly aware that humans are actually very weak creatures in front of Allah the Almighty. We are also motivated to make changes for the better. For example, paying more attention to nutritious food intake, maintaining cleanliness, living a healthy lifestyle, we have started to encourage this since Covid-19 came, right?

Covid-19 should be a trial and a test from Allah the Almighty to strengthen our resilience and patience. We need to feel confident, that this Covid-19 as a test from Allah SWT will surely pass. Like the previous disease outbreaks that were also present at the time of the Prophet Muhammad.

We must also reflect on the QS Al-Insyirah verses 5-6 which teaches us all, “Because after difficulty there is ease. Indeed, after difficulty there is ease.” We just assured there are many conveniences we can have in the midst of difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prospective Hafiz & Hafizoh Successors to the Nation

Commemorating the Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, one of the positive things we can find in the midst of this pandemic is that there are still many Indonesian children who have such noble aspirations, to become hafiz/hafizoh.
